June 30, 2011 (pg108-pg118)

Ok… So the gist of it is they are pretty sure it is under the Temple Mount.

Its funny they are explaining the Sanhedrin. We already looked it up. There is some new info here though. :)

What is the Talmud? I hope they explain.

On to chapter 11…

I like the way they write. I like the compassion. The whole revelation being difficult thing. I have studied revelation. I think it’s cool. Excited for this chapter.

I this the first time I have heard anyone suggest John might have started all of the churches.

I get that they are saying about the different approaches. I think I agree with them.

Have to go for now. Sorry there was not more writing this time.

June 29, 2011 (pg97-pg108)

June 29, 2011 (pg97-pg108)

Hi…

I am really liking this book. Ok where we left off we were talking about the Temple Mount and its rebuilding.

Ok… So that’s a lttle confusing / troublesome that Israel owns the Temple Mount but does not control it. I guess I did not know that. My question is why you would agree to that. They still live at war even though they have given the land over to other to govern. It seams as nothing was gained. Surely not peace. I wonder if the US had any part in this.

Why the Jordanians? I have so many questions. I bet I could talk to someone at an embassy if I wanted to get answers. That would be fun.

Where does it say about the third Jewish temple in the Bible? I would love to see verse / scripture. Is it in Revelation? Or one of the prophets? I’m sure one of the two.

The whole thing about The Temple Institute is cool and kind sends chills. That level of preparation and detail. I didn’t know.

Start from age 2 and not till 30! Wow huh!

Ok… I like the way they talked about the priestly apparel. Even though that is the case I feel like you would get more from it than I. The way you like to knit and sow clothes.  I like that. I was just thinking how cool it would be to have you read these verses and do an artists rendering.

I am super stoked about the Ark of the Covenant stuff coming up!

On to chapter 10…

How cool that some of the stuff is on display! I want to go see it!

I like the way they are going to describe all the tools! Hope they give background or scripture.

Ok… Sanhedrin?...

The Sanhedrin (Hebrew: סַנְהֶדְרִין‎; Greek: συνέδριον,[1] synedrion, "sitting together," hence "assembly" or "council") was an assembly of twenty-three judges appointed in every city in the Biblical Land of Israel.[2]
The Great Sanhedrin was the supreme court of ancient Israel made of 71 members. The Great Sanhedrin was made up of a Chief/Prince/Leader called Nasi (at some times this position may have been held by the Kohen Gadol or the High Priest), a vice chief justice (Av Beit Din), and sixty-nine general members.[3] In the Second Temple period, the Great Sanhedrin met in the Hall of Hewn Stones in the Temple in Jerusalem. The court convened every day except festivals and Shabbat. In the late 3rd century, to avoid persecution, its authoritative decisions were issued under the name of Beth HaMidrash.
The last binding decision of the Sanhedrin was in 358, when the Hebrew Calendar was adopted. The Sanhedrin was dissolved after continued persecution by the Roman Empire. Over the centuries, there have been attempts to revive the institution, such as the Grand Sanhedrin convened by Napoleon Bonaparte.
The Sanhedrin is mentioned in the Gospels in relation to the Sanhedrin Trial of Jesus.

Ok that whole Napoleon thing is weird. The jist is that it’s a court or group. I am wondering if this is who the Bible is talking about by Judges? I am inclined to think yes. Will have to look more into that. I should look up if the word Sanhedrin is used in the bible… Ok as far as I can tell right now it is not. Checked concordance and program on my phone. I guess it could be called a different name though.

Back to the book.

Wow about the Pope! Huh?

Casting lots for the scapegoat? Interesting.

Good stuff! The Lost Ark tomorrow…

June 28, 2011 (pg86-pg96)

June 28, 2011 (pg86-pg96)

Gosh the Sea of Galilee sounds beautiful.

Thought it was really interesting what they were saying about the water. I didn’t know that. I wonder how involved the US was involved in trying to have them give up the Golan Heights.

As I was reading I was just wondering the scripture for the middle of page 87.

To me the bottom line is that Iran has proven it does not want nuclear weapons for defense but rather aggression.

I hope they say why Israel would survive but Iran would not. It seams odd. Iran is much bigger. Is it because of the political structure that Israel would be able to pick up the pieces?

“ permanent oil loss from the middle east” – WOW!!!! So bad. Why do they think Israel would do this? Is it just to make sure those who eliminated them would be eliminated in the long run?

“One in every three pages is prophetic”?

Ok… on to chapter 9

I would like to know more about rabbi meir kahane…

Rabbi Martin David Kahane also known as Meir Kahane (Hebrew: הרב מאיר דוד כהנא‎), and by the pen-names Benyac and David Sinai and the pseudonyms Michael King, David Borac, and Martin Keene[1] (1 August 1932 – 5 November 1990) was an American-Israeli rabbi and ultra-nationalist writer and political figure. He was an ordained Orthodox rabbi and later served as a member of the Israeli Knesset.[2]

Kahane gained recognition as an activist for Jewish causes, such as organizing Jewish self-defense groups in deteriorating neighborhoods and the struggle for the right of Soviet Jews to immigrate.[3][4] He later became known in the United States and Israel for political and religious views that included proposing emergency Jewish mass-immigration to Israel due to the imminent threat of a "second Holocaust" in the United States, advocating that Israel's democracy be replaced by a state modeled on Jewish religious law, and promoting the idea of a Greater Israel in which Israel would annex the West Bank and Gaza strip. In order to keep Arabs, who he stated would never accept Israel as a Jewish state, from becoming a numerical majority in Israel, he proposed a plan allowing Arabs to voluntarily leave Israel and receive compensation for their property, and forcibly removing Arabs who refused.

Kahane founded both the Jewish Defense League (JDL) in the USA and Kach ("This is the Way!"), an Israeli political party. In 1984 he became a member of the Knesset when Kach gained one seat in parliamentary elections. In 1988, the Israeli government banned Kach as "racist" and "undemocratic" under the terms of an ad hoc law.[5] In 1994, following the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre perpetrated by a Kahane follower, Kach was outlawed completely.[6] The U.S. State Department listed it as a terrorist organization in 1994.[7][8]

Kahane was assassinated in a Manhattan hotel by an Arab gunman in November 1990, after concluding a speech warning American Jews to emigrate to Israel before it was "too late."

Video was cool! Ok, but I can’t figure out if this is the same guy. Need to do more research. Name is spelled different and it does not say anything about the temple that I can see. This book was published in 2009. He died in 1990. He was being interview for this book. Were they researching this book for that long? Will look into it more.

June 27, 2011 (pg79-pg85)

June 27, 2011 (pg79-pg85)

Hi…

I like the way Arens answered the question on the top of page 79. I like it because he was honest but did not give up information. He did not overstep his bounds with current leadership. He did not endanger the country by saying to much. I respect all of that very much.

I did not know all that stuff they were saying about Turkey. Fist I didn’t know that the US was considered that close to Turkey. I don’t know if I completely agree with that statement. I get though how the political relationships can be so sensitive. NATO vs EU, etc. I think it is difficult for the United States, or anyone for that matter, to play nation builder. They are basically saying because Turkey might get upset by being turned down by the EU they would become radical. I think you can not just let them in because you are scared of what they will become if you do not. I say we have Germany’s back on that even though Turkey is in NATO.

Also I think there are other ways to stop Turkey from becoming radical.

I need to look this up but… I think when they are talking about oil reserves / fields they are talking ones currently in operation. I remember hearing once the US actually has more oil in it boarders that the Middle East. We just do not have it tapped and that takes time to do. I wonder if they know that. If so why would Boykin not say it? I would think he should know because it is so vital to national security. The oil runs all our ships, tanks, etc. We use it fast. 60% seams hi to me but I could be wrong.

On to chapter 8…

I hate the way people cringe at the thought of Israel protecting itself. The top of 83 just reminded me of that a little.

They keep doping repetition! I like that. I feel like this book was written to truly educate. They do it with names. They do it with locations. Good stuff.

WOW I liked the way they describe The Sea of Galilee. It sounds beautiful! Blue and Green!

OK… more tomorrow

June 26, 2011 (pg69-78)

June 26, 2011 (pg69-78)

It’s a big deal to have someone who has been an undersecretary saying the type of things Boykin is saying. To say that Iran is the biggest threat to the entire world is a big deal. I think this is why he pauses. Not only was he in the know but even to this day his words still carry weight.

Want to remember…

Mahdi – Islamic messiah
Caliphate – one sole authority and leader in Islam

I like the way they review the five goals of the section. It helps me organize and remember. 

I like what they are saying about the lines in the sand… or red lines. The two things that Israel will not allow to have happen. I also really agree with all Boykin is saying about not having to wait to defend yourself until something is done to you… if you know it is going to happen.

They, Iran and Mohammed Ali Jafari, on not quoted as giving a reason for attacking the US as well. I wonder what that is? I know the normal stuff, we help Israel … etc, but I would think they would need tangible / substantial reasons or face consequences from UN and like. What would that reason be?

On to chapter 7…

I have to say it again… I like the organization they use in this book and also the repetition. The thing that is making me day this is the way on pg 75-76 they go over the nations that are predicted in scripture and the modern day equivalent. It helps to see them side by side. I also like the way they include verse. Very cool!

I would really like to remember them all.

Lots of agreement that Iran is the big threat and the biggest part of that is them being nuclear. I would like to look into more specifically what the United States has done to prevent this. I honestly don’t know.

The four pronged attack to Israel… not just Iran, but also Syria, Lebanon, and Palestinians. I would like to research why these specifically and would also like to remember these are the main four. Maybe they will go more into it.

Still not satisfied with the answer they gave at bottom of 78 to my question. There must be other reasons. Will have to research.

Until tomorrow…

June 25, 2011 (pg65-pg68)

June 25, 2011 (pg65-pg68)

The start of Chapter 6…

I would like to learn more about Benjamin Netanyahu. With all the positions he has held it is obvious there is a divine appointment on his life. I don’t know much about him so I would like to learn. I think I would like to do a little now because I am willing to bet he will come up often from now on.

Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu (Hebrew: בִּנְיָמִין "בִּיבִּי" נְתַנְיָהוּ (help•info) Binyamin Netanyahu; born 21 October 1949) is the Prime Minister of Israel. He serves also as the Chairman of the Likud Party, as a Knesset member, as the Health Minister of Israel, as the Pensioner Affairs Minister of Israel and as the Economic Strategy Minister of Israel.
Netanyahu is the first and only Israeli prime minister born in Israel after the State of Israel's foundation. Netanyahu joined the Israeli Defense Forces in 1967 where he served as a team leader in the elite Sayeret Matkal commando unit, taking part in many missions including the hostages rescue mission from the hijacked Sabena Flight 571 in 1972 (coincidentally under the leadership of Ehud Barak). He fought in the Yom Kippur War in 1973 and achieved the rank of captain before being discharged. Netanyahu served as the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations from 1984 to 1988, member of the Likud Party, and was Prime Minister from June 1996 to July 1999. Netanyahu was Foreign Minister (2002–2003) and Finance Minister (2003–August 2005) in Ariel Sharon's governments, but he departed over disagreements regarding the Gaza Disengagement Plan. He retook the Likud leadership on 20 December 2005.[1] In the 2006 election, Likud did poorly, winning twelve seats.[2] In December 2006, Netanyahu became the official Opposition Leader in the Knesset and Chairman of the Likud Party. In August 2007, he retained the Likud leadership by beating Moshe Feiglin in party elections.[3] Following the 10 February 2009 parliamentary election, in which Likud placed second and right-wing parties won a majority,[4] Netanyahu formed a coalition government.[5][6] He is the brother of Israeli Special Forces commander Yonatan Netanyahu, who died during a hostage rescue mission, and Iddo Netanyahu, an Israeli author and playwright.
In 2010, the British magazine New Statesman listed Benjamin Netanyahu at 11th in the list of "The World's 50 Most Influential Figures 2010".[7]

More wiki… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Netanyahu

I can’t tell you how much I like the fact that he does not support a two state solution. I also really like the way he did not support the Gaza pullout. That whole thing has always bothered me. I had thought he was against it but never know that is why he left. He seams to be strong and principled. I am sure there are books on him. I would like to read them.

Ok I would totally like to learn more about the political parties in the Knesset. I would actually like to learn more about how the Knesset itself. I guess that will have to be later. Should get back to the book.

I kind of knew this before, but there is so much consistency across the board that Iran is the biggest threat. Most here in the States still don’t get that. It sounded like the authors were surprised though. That confused me. Maybe I am wrong about that. Maybe it’s just the writing.

Ok. Have to end today. Didn’t get a lot read but got great information.

Last thought… It blows my mind that not everyone in Israel thought it was a bad idea for Iran to be armed with nukes. How can that even be? They are right there. They see it. They hear the threats. Oh well… maybe there will be more.

More tomorrow…

June 24, 2011 (pg59-pg65)

June 24, 2011 (pg59-pg65)

I think it is interesting the way they lay out the battle as being between the Muslims and Jews. I don’t know if I agree with that. I am sure many of the countries will be Muslim but I don’t know if you can say all. I also think there will be other religions involved obviously. Even after the rapture there will be Christians.

I like the way they lay out the five issues. When writers do this it helps me remember. I guess I like organization. The same thing was done in another book I just finished reading and it really helped be digest it.

Oh but it looks like they are going to take them out of order. They are starting with “The Nations Predicted in Prophecy”.

Would like to try and remember the nations… Russia, Turkey, Persia (Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran), Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Libya. Wow, That’s a lot.

Seria – king of the North, Egypt – king of the South

Saudi Arabia, Lebanon

Definition of HERMENEUTIC

June 23, 2011 (pg48- pg58)

June 23, 2011 (pg48- pg)

Hi!

I read the thing at the bottom of page 47 / top of page 48 about the running water and thought that was cool. The idea of living water and the bathing before worship I did not know.

I thought the cubit was better defined than that (17in to 21in). I my concordance it is anyway…

Where are they getting that Christians thing The Temple Mount is where Christ will return? I don’t think I have ever heard that before. I vaguely maybe remember something possible but never ever stated as a fact of Christian belief. They don’t actually give verse for that.

I like the way they are using multiple translations to quote from.

I did not know the temple King Solomon built was on the same place Abraham offered Isaac.

Ok I would really like to know more about the specifics of Jesus coming back and The Temple Mount. They are so sure . Where is it? I want to research it. I think I will but I am going to continue reading for right now. Its seams like they are referencing the book of Revelation, but I have read Revelation and don’t remember that.

I really like the fact Jesus goes and gets the Jews and brings them back personally. I am wondering where this is in scripture. Again it seams like they are referencing Revelation. I thought the Jews were Gods and the Church was Christ’s. I will have to look more into this.

On to chapter 5…

Hezbollah is in Lebanon, Hamas is in Gaza. Would like to remember that.

It is amazing what the Israelis have got use to. All the rockets.

Ok... more tomorrow.

June 22, 2011 (pg 36-pg47)

June 22, 2011 (pg 36-pg47)

The Ark was located in Shiloh? I would like to research that in the word.

It really seams like they are making an attempt to be fair with everything in this book. The way they are intervieing the head of the PLO for Jerusalem was suprising.

I have to be honest it is hard to read some of the stuff from the Husseini interview.

British took the land from the turks. Would like to remember that. Turks 1500s-1917. British 1917-1949

I knew most of the other stuff up to chapter 4. On to chapter 4…

I like what he said about the Bible being so acurate it can be used as a modern day “guidebook”.

Had to look this up on a map, but it looks like the Temple Mount is located on the east side of Jerusalem and the City of David is just south of that.

Cool thing about David’s house.
I am wondering if they are trying to say that King Solomon cared more about his own house than the temple?

I thought there was some really cool stuff at the end here. I don’t know if I should talk about it though. I am still working on it.

I really like this book!

June 21, 2011 (pg29-pg36)

June 21, 2011 (pg29-pg36)

Start of chapter 2…

I tried to look up the four murals they talk about but could not find them. I am curious what they look like. I wonder if you are even allowed to take pictures of them? Most of the pictures that came up where of the signing table I think.

I have to be honest when you look at the prophesies and how they have come true it does send a little chill up the spine. Most still sit with their eyes closed.

Ok I am wonder what the small village is they are talking about in the middle of page 31 that stopped the Egyptian army?

Israel got back Jerusalem in 1967. I am wondering what war that was… Ah it was the six day war.

Ok. Wow! That was like the shortest chapter ever. On to chapter 3 I guess. I am looking forward to the military and strategy stuff. If I had to guess I would guess you are / would be more into the prediction stuff.

Ha I actually know what the word yeshiva meant from Rounders. Who says watching movies doesn’t pay off! Just kidding.

Would like to see the Tombs of the Patriarchs. I should start making a list of all the places I would like to see in Israel. I know you have see many already.

I don’t know how I feel about the way they just threw out that Dr. Baruch Goldstein story. I feel like there is more there and wish they would have fleshed it out a bit more. Was there a reason?, etc…

“all monotheism”-cool thought on the middle of page 34.

Herod was the one who covered up the tombs first. Interesting.

I liked the roots analogy.

I can’t believe the shear numbers of the 166K fundamentalist to the 5K Israelis.

Ok, enough for tonight I guess. More tomorrow!

June 20, 2011 (pg18-pg28)

June 20, 2011 (pg18-pg28)

I like the way they describe Golda Meir. I have to be honest I also like the fact it was a woman he picked to send. “It was thanks to a Jewish woman the Jewish state was born” – WOW. Very Cool. Well said.

Rock of Israel this is also very cool.

I am wondering about the “fist name of their family name” thing. What is this? Why is this? Do jewidh people have 2 family names?

Ok. Well I really liked everything they said about the scripture but do not want to get into that right now. I am now thinking this book may prove to be difficult to share with you if I am not able to discuse scripture. I am going to have to pray about it. I know there is a reason I was directed to this book. I know that I will be shown the way. I will be obediante and patient.

I stopped reading at the end of the first chapter. Not so much learning today but that’s ok. Good reading. Good other stuff. Maybe there will be more I can write about tomorrow.

Golda MeirFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Golda Meir

Golda Meir (Hebrew: גּוֹלְדָּה מֵאִיר‎‎ [ɡolˈda] or [ˈɡolda] [meˈʔiʁ];[1], earlier Golda Meyerson, born Golda Mabovitch; 3 May 1898 – 8 December 1978) was a teacher, kibbutznik and politician who became the fourth Prime Minister of the State of Israel.

Meir was elected Prime Minister of Israel on 17 March 1969,[2] after serving as Minister of Labour and Foreign Minister. Israel's first and the world's third woman to hold such an office, she was described as the "Iron Lady" of Israeli politics years before the epithet became associated with British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.[3] Former prime minister David Ben-Gurion used to call Meir "the best man in the government"; she was often portrayed as the "strong-willed, straight-talking, grey-bunned grandmother of the Jewish people."

June 19, 2011 (pg 14-18)

Ok so I want to memorize the phraze “b’ezrat hashem”. You may know this but it means “with the help of God”. Also learned some other cool things about the Genizah (process by wich documents with Gods name on them can be thrown away) and the phrase “Besiyata Dishmaya” or “with the help of heaven”. That phrase is used on the top of many writings. Way cool!

Six day war was in 1976. I would like to remember that as well. This was a huge deal becouse they got back the Temple Mount but they don’t say what started it. I don’t know. I will have to look it up some time but I also want to keep reading.

I like the answer the documentary guy Wilder gives on the top of page 15. He is right. Strong but true!

Wow Jewish people from 108 nations. That was even more scatered than I thought.

The two groups they mention in the middle of page 16 must be some of the factions they were talking about before that are IDF?

They mentioned the Israeli Nation Anthom on page 18. I had never heard it before so I looked it up. Oh wait… yes I have … at Night To Honor Israel I think. I thought it sounded familiar when I listened to it. Ha! Just got it now. Oh well. I looked it up and hear it is, just in case you would want to hear it.

Well.. again, not moving very fast. Oh well. That's not a bad thing if youre learning stuff. I am glad about that. I'm sure it will go faster as we go on. Well it think that is it for this one.

June 18, 2011 (Page 13-14)

For this post I think I am just going to try and write as I read. I am hoping this will make it a little more fluid and conversational. Here goes…

I want to try and remember that Israel was formed in 1948. I think that’s a good fact to know. I also want to try and look up information on David Ben-Gurion so we can know more information about him. As a matter of fact I think I am going to do it now.

David Ben-Gurion (help•info) (Hebrew: דָּוִד בֶּן-גּוּרִיּוֹן‎, born David Grüen on 16 October 1886, died 1 December 1973) was the first Prime Minister of Israel. Ben-Gurion's passion for Zionism, which began early in life, led him to become a major Zionist leader, and as head of the Jewish Agency, he became the de facto leader of the Jewish community in Palestine, and largely led the struggle for an independent Jewish state in Palestine. In 1948, he formally proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel, and was the first to sign the Israeli Declaration of Independence. Ben-Gurion led the provisional government of Israel during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and united the various Jewish militias into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Following the war, Ben-Gurion served as Israel's first Prime Minister. As Prime Minister, he helped build the state institutions, presiding over various national projects aimed at the development of the country. He also oversaw the absorption of vast numbers of Jews from all over the world. In 1953, he resigned and served as Defense Minister, before returning to office in 1955. Under his leadership, Israel responded aggressively to Arab guerilla attacks, and in 1956, invaded Egypt along with British and French forces after Egypt nationalized the Suez Canal. He stepped down from office in 1963, and retired from political life in 1970. He then moved to Sde Boker, a kibbutz in the Negev desert, where he lived until his death. Posthumously, Ben-Gurion was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century
I am sure you knew some if not all of this stuff. I didn’t. I want to learn. Here is the link to the rest of the Wiki stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Ben-Gurion

I think its interesting there were many different milita groups that formed the IDF. I knew the Jewish people were considered “nomadic” but thought they were still together. This makes it sound like they were not only nomadic but separate. They had to be put together. Maybe it could be considered like colonies or states. I would like to learn more about that.

As I read the rest of the Wiki stuff it struck me how patient he was with the Arabs. It seams like his vision included letting them stay and become citizens if they wanted. He knew it would not go over well, but that was his goal. He thought it could happen in time.

Back to the book…

Hebron is where Abraham walked… I would like to try and remember that fact. Still there today. Same name.

Ok, this David Wilder guy is saying the Jews are leaving because they are scared… I don’t think I buy that. I think they just want to go home. Lets be honest, with as much as Israel is under attack does anyone believe they are safer there? I think they just want to go home. I think is also more likely the fulfilment of profecy.

Have to go for now. Did not get much of the book read today, but learned a lot.

Foreword and Introduction

Even though I got your copy of the book back in the mail, I am going to be a man of my word. I am going to read the book and blog on it every day. I don’t know if there is anything else to say so I’m just going to jump in.

I started with just the foreword and introduction. They were actually fairly short. I liked the Benjamin Netanyahu quote in the introduction. I thought it was powerful. I felt like the authors did a great job of laying out their credibility. It seams they are well connected and extremely knowledgeable. I also really like the way seams they are going to tie everything back to historical Biblical references and God. I didn’t know how heavy they would get into that but it looks like it is going to be quite a bit.

I really appreciated everything they were saying about helping people and educating people. I felt like that is something that would also resonate with you. I thought you would also be able to appreciate the way they are looking at it like a puzzle.

First Book - Israel Under Fire

http://www.amazon.com/Israel-Under-Fire-Prophetic-Threatens/dp/0736925848

I will give you time to recieve the book and start in a week.
